Dr. Johnson

Dr. Tyler Johnson is the founder and owner of San Diego Dental Anesthesia. He is a Dual Board Certified Dentist Anesthesiologist serving over 60 Pediatric Specialists in San Diego and the surrounding areas. Dr. Johnson currently lives with his wife and children in San Diego, California where he was born and raised. He is actively involved in his community and enjoys serving on the Board of Directors for the San Diego County Dental Society. He is also part-time faculty at Lutheran Medical Center where he lectures to the Pediatric Residents on emergency management and in-office general anesthesia for children.

Dr. Johnson is also a general anesthesia evaluator for the State of California and holds an FADSA Fellowship with the ADSA (American Dental Society of Anesthesia). As a previous instructor for the American Heart Association, Dr. Johnson holds current Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification.

Dr Johnson loves working with children from all walks of life. From the extreme poverty-stricken areas of Africa, Nicaragua, Belize, and Mexico, to treating the children of governors and members of congress here in the United States, Dr. Johnson has helped to restore little smiles all over the world.

Dr. Johnson is a graduate from Loma Linda University's Dental Anesthesiology program, a post doctoral degree. Prior to this, he attained a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of San Diego, and a doctorate degree in dental surgery from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. In the fourth year of his doctoral program, he was awarded excellence in the field of dental anesthesia by the ADSA. Later graduating from his dental anesthesia residency academically ranked first in his class.
